The New ResBook & Tomahawk Suite of Services - FAQs

What exactly is changing? 

ResBook has expanded its products and services for smaller tourism operators across all sectors including accommodation, activities/tours, transport and inbound tour operators. The expanded services include 3 key methods to drive bookings:

  • ResBook Websites – Tourism Themed Websites
  • ResBook Marketing – Tourism Digital Marketing Packages
  • ResBook PMS - Accommodation PMS

 

Tomahawk’s focus will be on supporting medium to large tourism organisations who wish to outsource their marketing. Services will include bespoke websites, marketing strategies and specialised digital marketing services.

Why the change? 

We believe that by structuring each brand as distinct businesses, with a clear division of services, we will be able to better serve you in terms of the delivery of quality services and customer support.  

I was a Tomahawk client but am now a ResBook customer, will I be working with different people and will the quality of work change? 

We will be bringing on new team members to Resbook so you may see some changes in who you are in contact with. The core products like the tourism themed websites and digital marketing packages will continue to be developed and supported by team members with the right knowledge and experience to deliver quality outcomes. 

I am an accommodation ResBook software user, will the expansion of ResBook mean it will be harder for me to get support? 

No. Our overall support team will still be handling the same number of customers and ResBook will be better supported in terms of future development and improvements. It will be an exciting time for ResBook software users, and as it grows so too will our support! 

Does this mean the pricing will change? 

No. There is no immediate effect on pricing because of this change. Your invoice however may change to coming from ResBook for the applicable products and services.

I’m confused, my website was set up by Tomahawk but to make changes to it do I now work with ResBook? 

If you have a tourism themed website using Netzone, then yes you will now be a ResBook client instead of Tomahawk. The Netzone product will be the same and supported in the same way via our ResBook team. 

If you have a bespoke designed website developed by Tomahawk (in Netzone or Orchard) and work with an account manager, then you will remain as a Tomahawk client with no changes.  

How do I know if I have a themed website? 

Our themed websites are a set base price for the core features of $5,000 as a one-off fee (plus any extra features or customisation you may add), or as a monthly subscription fee from $225 p/month. Your website would also be created using one of the 3 design theme options of: Inspire, Indulge and Escape and then customised with your own branding, colours and content, like these ones featured on this page.

If I need a new website, who do I contact? 

If you are wanting a new Tourism Themed website with set pricing options, then please contact the ResBook team at clientservices@resbook.com

If you’re not sure which one you need, please contact Tomahawk initially and we will ascertain your needs to point you in the right direction. 

If I would like help with digital marketing services like Google Ads, Social Media marketing, SEO and branding, who do I contact? 

Tomahawk is the best contact for these services you if you believe your business needs to outsource ongoing digital marketing services. These services delivered by Tomahawk will be managed as a Service Level Agreement (SLA) that provides ongoing services over a longer period and are typically reviewed annually. In some cases, the services may be delivered as a project rather than as an SLA (for example a major rebrand project). 

Alternatively, if you think you’d prefer a short-term commitment, one-off service (like a new logo), or to try our digital marketing services for the first time, we recommend working with the ResBook Marketing packages, which are typically for a 3-month period (if campaign based) or are a shorter one-off task. 

I’ve been working with Tomahawk for a long time, so will the ResBook team know my history? 

The benefit of working with us is that we use technology that allows us to track your history of communications and work completed. Both of our Tomahawk and ResBook teams will continue to have access to this information going forward. 

I have a Tomahawk Tourism Themed website and pay a monthly subscription; will that continue with ResBook and will I still get a free website upgrade after 3 years? 

Yes, nothing will change in terms of your website subscription and your ability to upgrade your website at no extra cost when it’s due. It will simply mean that the ResBook team will now be managing everything associated with your website. 

I work with a Tomahawk account manager for our digital marketing and/or bespoke website, will that change? 

No. If you currently have a Tomahawk account manager as part of your SLA or to manage your digital marketing and/or bespoke website then nothing will change. 

Email address contacts going forward

Please note that ALL customers of ResBook will now use a new email address rather than a Tomahawk address for day to day contact. The Tomahawk email address remains unchanged.
